This was the official press release...

Two primary schools in Liverpool have won national awards for the way they teach children to read. The schools are Whitefield Primary School in Boundary Lane and St Teresa of Lisieux School in Norris Green.

The awards were presented in London yesterday (June 22nd) by the Every Child A Chance Trust charity which was set up in 2007 and is backed by the Government and leading businesses and charities. Only 32 out of 19,000 primary schools in the country were selected for the award.

Whitefield, which has 287 pupils aged between 3 and 11, won the award for the way it has worked as a leading practice school in teaching reading in its area.

St Teresa’s has 227 pupils aged between 3 and 7. It was singled out for the way it has achieved whole school impact through developing the wider role of its Reading Recovery teacher, Andria Palmer.

I have tried a few times today to upload a picture to a new album I have created, but when I try, I get this error:

The file I am trying to upload is a 735kb jpeg.
