Romania and Romanian culture

Recommended Posts

If you can take some picture of house or something about Romania, and post it in the English forum, let us know about your country and the culture.

IL2-Aviator asked me about... We will try to give him answers...

First place to look is , of course http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanians

But we can explain this better with our own examples.

here are some pictures from Danube river delta, made by a friend.

It is beautiful. But it is very hard to get to it, too...You have to climb some stairs before getting to the castle. It took me about 30 minutes to get past those stairs (I was there like 8 years ago...and when we finally arrived there, exhausted, we were told that the castle was being in restoration process  ). But the location is, indeed, fantastic. :) And something interesting, it was the first castle in Europe which had electricity. :) :D:

Oh, and don't forget the Bran Castle, the house of Dracula. It's pretty close from Peles...about 50 kilometers, and it's placed on the top of a rock hill, in Brasov...And although Vlad Tepes was called Dracula, it seems he never lived in this castle. It's good, though...at least we are known for the legendary Dracula. :)
